Cauvery Primary and High School is affiliated to the ICSE board, New Delhi. The primary objectives of this
curriculum are:

The Foundation Curriculum comprises of seven areas of learning.

3 Prime areas:

  • Communication and Language
  • Physical Development
  • Personal, social and emotional development

4 Specific areas:

  • Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Understanding the World
  • Expressive Arts and Design

Areas of learning are implemented through planned, purposeful play and a mix of child initiated and teacher led learning. All children work towards achieving Early Learning Goals according to their individual characteristics and abilities; their progress is monitored through assessment that is holistic and ongoing.


Grades I –V known as PRIMARY includes the following subjects: English, Mathematics, Social Studies, Sciences, Art and Craft, Physical Education, Social Studies and Moral Science are offered.

At each grades, students has to complete 3 Unit Test assessment and 2 Summative Assessments which measures cognitive ability to help students, parents and teachers identify applicable pathways for progress.


Students are encouraged to become independent; capable and competent learners through strong transition from Primary to Middle school.

Grade VI – VIII, known as MIDDLE LEVEL, a range of academic pathways are offered to cater for a variety of student needs and interests. These include the compulsory subjects of English, Mathematics, Physical Education, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, History, Geography, Art & Craft,Yoga, Teakwondo,Music.

Ongoing assessment of 3 Unit Test and 2 Term Examinations ensure that each student’s progress and development are continuous and meet predetermined standards. We encourage students to think independently, use their initiative and to participate in a meaningful and active manner in the learning process.


The final two years of school – Grade IX & X, students sit for COUNCIL FOR THE INDIAN SCHOOL CERTIFICATE EXAMINATIONS conducted by the board. Again, a wide range of subjects are offered which assist in preparing students for higher studies or a multitude of career opportunities. Key leadership qualities are very important in these senior years. Students in these classes will be challenged to accept and develop responsibilities as leaders and citizens of the world.

A student takes eight ICSE subjects, Five of which are core while other one is optional subjects.

The overall education experience is enhanced and supplemented with instructions in Art, Music, Physical Education, Social Studies and Moral Education.


All students in a classroom may not always be of the same background, academic skills and social behavior. Simply covering the textbook syllabus and expecting them to perform well at the end of the academic year may not always work well.

Understanding their emotional concerns and giving them timely moral support and guidance can make a remarkable difference in their overall performance. This is when counseling as a part of school life becomes a whole lot focused.

CPHS has taken into account the importance of regular counseling and have a counselor as part of our team. Counselling is conducted with students and teachers individually, in small groups and in classroom settings. Individual counseling is voluntary and confidential.


The Nation cadet Corp (N.C.C) is the organization, which is regulated under the Ministry of Defense; It act as the body to provide the basic military training. The enormous benefit that our students from Grade VIII, IX & X associated with the N.C.C training are character building, friendship development, comradeship, confidence, leadership, patriotism, honesty,  punctuality and sense of readiness.  The NCC Cadet training for the student at the NCC Ground, Vidyanagar from the 10th of October to 18th October 2019, under the supervision of the NCC Cadet Care taker – Mr. Shashi Kumar Rathod.
